Match preview: Derby County v PNE

Tomorrow, Preston North End travel to the iPro Stadium to face Derby County in a rearranged Championship fixture following the FA Cup 4th round matches this weekend.

During the last meeting between the two sides, Daniel Johnson’s late goal was not enough to stop Derby County coming away from Deepdale with all three points after Chris Martin’s double put his side ahead.

The Rams go into the match, seeking to end a run of three consecutive defeats, most recently losing 3-1 at home against Manchester United on Friday.

North End have had more than a week to prepare for this game after they were knocked out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round by Peterborough United.

A win for PNE, who are currently 16th, could see them jump up four places whilst County have the chance to move into 3rd if they secure all three points.
