Everton Ladies comfortably beat Watford Ladies 3-0 to go up to second place in the WSL2 table.
Claudia Walker broke the deadlock in the first half before Dan Turner and Simone Magill added gloss to the scoreline just after the restart.
The Blue Girls started the game on the front foot winning two corners in quick succession but the Hornets defended well and cleared the ball.
Just 15 minutes into the match, Simone Magill put the ball into the back of the net but the celebrations were cut short by the linesman who raised his flag for offside.
The Toffees continued to pile on the pressure and came close to scoring through Michelle Hinnigan who shot from inside the box after receiving a pass from Claudia Walker.
Andy Spence’s side finally broke the deadlock after 25 minutes – Walker slotted home a rebound to give the team a deserved lead.
Despite taking the lead, they didn’t sit back and continued to press. Gabby George put a dangerous ball into the box that Shayla Burgess managed to claim ahead of Hinnigan.
The Blue Girls got their second goal straight from the kick-off when the ball was spread to Turner on the left-wing who ran past several defenders and scored a great solo goal.
Magill scored in her third successive league game after Turner laid the ball off to the striker in the box who showed great composure to finish past Burgess.
The skipper, Hinnigan came close to adding a spectacular fourth goal just before the hour mark when she controlled a ball over the top of the defence and shot from outside the box but her effort was saved by Burgess.
Everton continued to play well in the second half and were also boosted by the return of Ellie Stewart who came on as a late substitute.
