Fixture | Blackpool vs Plymouth Argyle
Date | 27 August 2016
Venue | Bloomfield Road
Blackpool face a tough test this weekend when they take on Plymouth Argyle at Bloomfield Road.
The last time the two teams met was in 2010 when The Seasiders secured a 2-0 win at Home Park.
Gary Boywer’s side have lost just once in League Two this season and will be looking to get back to winning ways after consecutive draws in league action.
If Blackpool can secure all three points on Saturday they’ll leapfrog their opponents in the table, with Pool in 12th place on five points and Plymouth just ahead in 11th.
The visitors will be looking to get promoted this year after last season’s heartbreak in the play-off final.
The Seasiders are undefeated at home so far this season with two wins and a draw at Bloomfield Road. In mid-week they were beaten 2-0 by Premier League Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup.
The visitors endured a horror start to the season, losing their opening three matches but have recovered to secure all six points in their last two games.
Bowyer hopes to have greater striking options to choose from, with Danny Philliskirk, Jamille Matt and Kyle Vassell nearing fitness. Jack Payne will also be in the squad and could make his debut for The Seasiders.
Derek Adams has no fresh injury concerns heading into the game with all the players available for selection. Graham Carey hit form last week as Plymouth saw off Mansfield at Home Park.
