The youth team put in a great performance to secure a hard-fought 3-0 win away to Tranmere Rovers.
After an early scare, Ciaran Donnelly’s side took the lead through Will Dunne and doubled it on the stroke of half-time thanks to Ralph Chea’s goal.
The Seasiders managed the game well and added gloss to the scoreline after the interval, courtesy of an individual piece of brilliance from Rowan Roache.
The home side came close to taking the lead early on but were denied by Will Avon’s goal line clearance.
However, just minutes later Blackpool took the lead. Christian N’Guessan headed down Roache’s corner to Dunne, who bundled the ball into the back of the net.
Despite going behind, Tranmere didn’t give up and gave away several free-kicks to stop Blackpool getting into full rhythm.
In first-half injury time The Seasiders doubled their lead, Roache’s shot from distance was spilled by the goalkeeper and Chea was alert to pounce on the rebound.

Donnelly’s side came flying out of the blocks in the second-half and scored a third goal through Roache, who collected the ball and beat his man to find space to shoot from the edge of the area.
At the other end, Jack Sims was alert to palm a shot over the crossbar to maintain Blackpool’s three-goal margin.
The Seasiders came close to scoring a fourth goal late on when Roache was through on goal, but the striker’s shot was stopped by a great save.
As well as the points, the full-time whistle ensured that the youth team had kept their first clean sheet since October.
