The youth team advanced to the final of the Lancashire FA Youth Cup for the third time in four years with a 1-0 win against Rochdale.
Tyler Rufus’ second-half header was enough for Blackpool to win a scrappy game and setup a final meeting with Bury, who beat Preston North End earlier in the day.
Both sides cancelled each other out for large periods of the semi-final tie, with the first significant effort coming shortly after the half-hour mark when Joseph Piggott fired a short over the crossbar from close range.

After an uneventful first-half, Academy Manager Ciaran Donnelly freshened up his attack by bringing on Rufus for Ralph Chea.
It was a change that proved to be crucial as Rufus headed in past Bradley Wade to break the deadlock in a quiet match.
Just moments after the goal, the lead could have been doubled when Rufus struck the post with a low shot and Roache blazed the rebound over the crossbar.
The Republic of Ireland youth international came close again when he struck a free-kick towards goal, but his effort was tipped over the crossbar by Wade.
The hosts piled forward in search of an equaliser but it proved to be in vain as The Seasiders’ defence remained resolute.
