Bright Osayi-Samuel spoke of his delight after helping Blackpool secure promotion to Sky Bet League One at Wembley.
The winger came off the bench on the half-hour mark to replace Tom Aldred, who was forced off due to injury.
“I feel ecstatic to have won at my first time at Wembley. Words can’t describe this great feeling,” he said.
“Not many people get to play at Wembley in their careers, so I’m very grateful to have done so.”
The 19-year-old joined the club’s academy after being signed by Richie Kyle and hasn’t looked back since.
“I’ve learnt a lot in my last three years here. There’s been ups and downs during that time but this is definitely one of the best moments in my football career.
“All the coaches that I’ve been with from the youth team to now have all improved me little by little and I want to thank them all.”
Osayi-Samuel’s introduction to the fray in the first-half didn’t faze the winger and he was a constant threat from wide positions during his time on the pitch.
“When I was on the bench I was already ready to come on if I was chosen. In my head I said that this is a normal game and I put in a good shift. I want to keep pushing on next season, train hard, and hopefully win more things with this club.”
